Henwick shares excitement over ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ season 2

'It’s incredible': Jessica Henwick praises 'Daredevil: Born Again' season 2 ahead of premiere

Actress Jessica Henwick, despite not appearing in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2, visited the set and praised the upcoming season as “incredible.” She assured fans, especially those from the Netflix era, that they will be “very happy” with the new installment. The season continues Matt Murdock’s conflict with Mayor Wilson Fisk and features Krysten Ritter’s return as Jessica Jones.

Jessica Henwick has shared a strong update about ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2, and longtime Netflix-era Marvel fans have reason to pay attention. Speaking to a publication, Henwick said the upcoming season will leave viewers “very happy,” even though she will not return as Colleen Wing. She visited the set and offered glowing praise for what she saw, calling the new season “incredible.”

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ season 2 update and Netflix fan reaction

In the The Hollywood Reporter report, Henwick addressed speculation about her involvement directly in her comments to The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m not on Daredevil: Born Again,” she insisted after being asked which episode she would appear in. “I did, however, go and hang out on set, and I had a great time. I can say that the new season is going to be incredible. It’s incredible.”She also reflected on seeing Charlie Cox back in costume. “Seeing Charlie in the suit was so nostalgic and fun. He’s just so perfect in that role. What a great guy, what a great show. I’m really excited for the fans. They’re going to be happy. And fans of the Netflix shows will be very happy.”Her absence as Colleen Wing may disappoint some viewers. Colleen’s story remains unfinished in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ season 2, she defeated Davos and claimed the Iron Fist power once held by Danny Rand. The next chapter for her character has not been shown. There have also been rumors that Finn Jones could return as Danny Rand in ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ Nothing has been confirmed. The speculation suggests Danny could train a protégé to take over as Iron Fist. That leaves open questions about Colleen’s future.

Marvel characters and ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ season 2 story

Season 2 continues Matt Murdock’s fight against Mayor Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, as Fisk tightens his grip on New York City. Krysten Ritter will return as Jessica Jones, which strengthens the show’s link to the earlier Netflix-era lineup.Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel TV and animation, described the new power struggle in recent remarks. “The story is about power,” he said. “When Wilson Fisk takes over New York, not just as a mayor but as a king, in a way, it puts him in a new class of power players on the international stage. Matthew Lillard’s character represents that. So he’s a bit of a new antagonist on the field, but he’s as influential in many ways as Fisk is. That power negotiation at a very high level of politics and international diplomacy is also fun to watch. He is dealing with Mr. Charles up here and Daredevil down here, for different reasons. So he’s getting squeezed a little bit.”‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on March 24.
