Has Sreeleela replaced Janhvi Kapoor in Dostana 2?

Has Kartik Aaryan's rumored girlfriend Sreeleela replaced Janhvi Kapoor in Lakshya and Vikrant Massey-starrer Dostana 2?

Dostana 2 has seen major cast changes, with Vikrant Massey and Lakshya now confirmed as leads after Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor reportedly exited. Sreeleela is strongly rumored to be the new female lead, replacing Janhvi, due to her rising popularity from Pushpa 2. She is also set for a Bollywood debut alongside Kartik Aaryan in another film.

Dostana 2 has been in the buzz ever since it was announced with Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor, and Lakshya in the lead. Kartik and Janhvi have reportedly dropped out of the film. Now the film reportedly stars Vikrant Massey and Lakshya in the lead.

Dostana 2 cast changes

Last week, Vikrant clarified that it will be his first Dharma Productions film and confirmed that Lakshya is still part of it. He didn’t reveal the new leading lady, but there’s buzz that Sreeleela might join the cast.

Source report on Sreeleela

Earlier, a source-based report in News18 stated, “The story of Dostana 2 will remain the same but the cast and the director have been changed. Janhvi Kapoor, who was roped in to play the female lead earlier, is no longer a part of the film. Instead, the makers are considering Sreeleela for the part. Her dance number in Pushpa 2: The Rule has made her a much sought-after name in the movies. And the team of Dostana 2 are extremely keen on having her in the film.”

Sreeleela and Kartik dating?

Meanwhile, Sreeleela has been in the news for her big Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s upcoming untitled movie. There are also rumours that she is dating the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ star.Back in March, a clip from an award show showed Kartik’s mother being asked what she hopes for in a future daughter-in-law. She playfully said the family wishes for a very good doctor, sparking speculation that it could be a hint about Kartik’s rumored relationship with Sreeleela, who is studying medicine. So far, neither Kartik nor Sreeleela has confirmed or denied the rumors. In March, Sreeleela joined Kartik’s family party celebrating his sister Dr Kritika Tiwari’s latest achievement in her medical career. A viral video showed the two having a great time, with Sreeleela perfectly nailing the hook step from Pushpa 2’s song Kissik, while Kartik stood behind her, capturing the fun moments on his phone.
