Gang of Youths, one of the most revered bands in Australia, is making their big comeback! The band has been in the headlines for months over speculation about their return to the music scene in Sydney. The group has now confirmed they will be making their big hometown comeback soon! Gangs of Youth announces homecoming concerts in Sydney

On Monday, the beloved band announced on Instagram that they will finally return to their home soil after quite some time for their homecoming shows. They announced they will perform two shows at the famous Sydney Opera House. The group cleared out all posts on their account only a few hours before the announcement, which surprised fans.They posted one of their official group photos along with the announcement and the concert dates. The caption read, “Sydney Opera House 8th & 10th August 2026 It’s been a while, but we’ll be seeing you soon…Sign up at gangofyouths. com for presale access from 9am AEST on Wednesday, 1st July. Tickets go on general sale from 9am on Friday 3rd July.” The last time the group performed in Australia was in a couple of festival performances in early 2023. They last performed in Sydney at the Enmore Theatre in 2022. Since then, the group has not had a live performance in Australia, which makes the Sydney Opera House performance even more special.Other than this, they will also play at a London music festival in August, however, few details were shared about this.

Gangs of Youth debuted with their single, ‘Evangelists,’ in 2013, and have remained fairly active in the music scene since then. In 2015, the group found success with the release of their first full-length album, ‘The Positions.’ In 2017, the band relocated from Australia to London.The group consists of songwriter and singer, David Le’aupepe, drummer Donnie Borzestowski, guitarist and keyboardist Jung Kim, and multi-instrumentalist Tom Hobden.
