Fan interupts Sonu Nigam’s concert, singer says, ‘kyun pitne ke kaam..?’

Fan interupts Sonu Nigam's concert by walking on stage, the singer handles it with grace: 'Kyun pitne wale kaam karte ho?' - WATCH VIDEO

While fans are often loved by stars, sometimes, when people cross the line, it’s one of the side-effects of fame and stardom. One has often seen that during live events and even when singers perform at live. After an incident involving Jasmine Sandlas, singer Sonu Nigam has now spoken out following a fan intrusion during his recent concert in Kolhapur. The singer took to Instagram a day after the event and shared a video from the performance, expressing his displeasure over the safety breach. In the caption, he wrote, “Kyon Pitne vaale Kaam karte ho audience?’ Is baar toh bachaa liya, har baar nahi bacha paunga. (Why do you do things that will get you beaten up, audience? This time I saved you, but I won’t be able to save you every time).”

The incident took place while Sonu was performing one of his popular songs on stage. In the clip, the singer suddenly steps back mid-performance as a man dressed in a white T-shirt climbs onto the stage to touch his feet and seek blessings. The interruption forced Sonu to stop singing momentarily, after which he sarcastically reacted by saying, “Waah, Shabhash!”Although security personnel rushed in to remove the fan, Sonu chose not to react aggressively. Instead, he briefly pulled the man back and even handed him the microphone, allowing him to sing a few lines. The fan then performed a short portion of “Chori Kiya Re Jiya,” smoothly picking up from where the singer had paused. After finishing, the man loudly declared, “Kolhapur loves you,” while Sonu appeared visibly uneasy following the interruption. The video soon grabbed attention online, and interestingly, the fan involved commented on Sonu’s Instagram post, writing, “It’s me, thankyou sir.” Another user quickly responded to him, saying, “Bhai Caption Padh le (Brother read the caption).”Several social media users praised Sonu for handling the situation calmly. One comment read, “Incredible how gracefully you handled it. Even LET the man sing. The craziest was continuing singing even after the man jumped up on the stage. Fan’s favourite for a reason,” while another user pointed out, “This shouldn’t be done. It breaks the rhythm of the artist and is not liked by the audience either. Also, it will provoke others to repeat such incidents.”Notably, similar incidents involving overenthusiastic fans have also occurred at concerts of singers like Atif Aslam, Sunanda Sharma and Jasmine Sandlas earlier this year.
