Esha Gupta has stepped in to dismiss rumours surrounding the health of spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj, assuring devotees that the revered Vrindavan-based guru is doing well and is currently resting in seclusion.Speculation about Premanand Maharaj’s health had been circulating on social media after he reportedly suspended his regular padyatra and personal interactions with devotees. The rumours prompted concern among his followers across the country.On Saturday, Esha Gupta took to Instagram Stories to clarify the situation and urged people not to spread misinformation.“Radhe Radhe. Quick update! Premanand Ji is just fine and just resting in ekanth. Please stop spreading false and negative news! To all his daily followers, continue your daily sadhna and let’s pray for all! Radhe Radhe,” she wrote.Her message came as relief to thousands of devotees who had expressed concern about the spiritual leader’s well-being online.

Premanand Maharaj has been battling kidney-related health issues

Premanand Maharaj has been open about his health struggles in the past. In a video shared by YouTuber Elvish Yadav last year, the spiritual leader spoke candidly about his condition. “Ab swasth kaise thik hoga, dono kidney fail hai,” he had said, indicating that both of his kidneys had failed.Recent videos of the spiritual guru have also shown visible swelling and redness on his face, which many followers attributed to his ongoing kidney condition. Reports have suggested that he undergoes extensive dialysis treatment. Despite his deteriorating health, Premanand Maharaj has reportedly declined requests from devotees who offered to donate a kidney.

Understanding his medical condition

According to reports, Premanand Maharaj is suffering from Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), a genetic disorder that causes fluid-filled cysts to develop in the kidneys.As the disease progresses, the cysts can grow larger and multiply, gradually affecting kidney function. In severe cases, the condition can lead to kidney failure, requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant.

Born as Anirudh Kumar Pandey in Kanpur, Premanand Maharaj renounced worldly life at the age of 13 and joined the Radhavallabhi Sampradaya in Vrindavan.Over the years, he has emerged as one of India’s most-followed spiritual figures, drawing devotees from across the country through his satsangs, discourses and personal interactions. His teachings, centred on devotion to Radha-Krishna, have gained widespread popularity both offline and on social media.
