‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ box office collection day 14

'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' box office collection day 14: The Harshvardhan Rane film makes in the same range as 'Baahubali: The Epic' and 'Thamma' on Monday, crosses Rs 66 crore

‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ starring Sonam Bajwa and Harshvardhan Rane which released in cinemas on Diwali has turned out to be a dark house. Nobody had expected a film like this to manage to get its hold in cinemas, especially due to clash with ‘Thamma’ which had three times more shows. But the film has now crossed Rs 66 crore at the box office which is a great number. It has turned out to be the highest grosser for Rane. And it has been holding well, despite the influx of newer releases this week like ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ and ‘The Taj Story’. SS Rajamouli’s Prabhas-led ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ hit theatres on Friday, October 31. The film’s re-release has been performing well, collecting over ₹24 crore through the weekend. Alongside it, ‘The Taj Story’ also released, but the highest numbers came from ‘Thamma’, followed by ‘EDKD’.After earning ₹55.15 crore in its first week, ‘EDKD’ added ₹2.35 crore on its second Friday and showed growth on Saturday with ₹3.15 crore. The momentum continued on Sunday with ₹3.75 crore, while on Monday (day 14), the film collected ₹1.65 crore. Its total domestic box office now stands at ₹66.05 crore net. While the overall collection of ‘Thamma’ is much more than ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’, as far as the mass circuits are concerned, this Milap Zaveri directorial has outperformed ‘Thamma’ in its second weekend, and even in multiplex regions like East Punjab, its collections are stronger. In Bihar, it has crossed the ₹3 crore nett mark in just thirteen days, surpassing all other romantic films and rom-coms, except ‘Saiyaara’. This feat also includes beating titles like ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makaar’, which had a lifetime total of over ₹125 crore net, according to Box Office India.
