Love is in the air for the Tamil audience as Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju starrer rom-com, ‘Dude’, continues to charm its way to their hearts. Released on October 17, the film performed impressively in its opening weekend. Within three days, the collection of ‘Dude’ has surpassed the Rs 30 crore mark, according to trade reports.

According to the Sacnilk report, ‘Dude’ minted Rs 9.75 crore on day 1, Friday. The collection came from Tamil and Telugu, Rs 6.5 crore came from the former and Rs 3.25 crore from the latter. Thereafter, on day 2, which was 1st Saturday of ‘Dude,’ the movie recorded Rs 7.4 crore in Tamil and Rs 2.9 crore in Telugu, making the total Rs 10.3 crore. It was a 5.64% rise from the Friday collection. Coming to day 3, the movie saw further improvement. Early estimates show that on day 3, on Sunday, the movie made Rs 10.5 crore, Rs 8 crore came from Tamil, and Rs 2.5 crore from Telugu. With this, the net collection of ‘Dude’ stands at Rs 30.55 crore in India.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s ‘Dude’ beats his earlier opening weekend box office numbers

Pradeep Ranganathan, earlier in 2025, entertained the audience with the film ‘Dragon.’ It had a good run at the box office, and now Pradeep has broken his own record. The opening weekend box office collection of ‘Dragon’ stood at Rs 30.05 Cr, while as aforementioned, ‘Dude’ after three days of run minted Rs. 30.55 crore. Making it the highest opener for the actor.

About ‘Dude’

Directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, ‘Dude’ follows the story of childhood friends Agan and Kuralarasi, who run an event management company that plans surprises for others. Their friendship blooms into romance, but initially, it is only one-sided.
