Doja Cat reveals she has Borderline Personality Disorder: Says ‘it caught up with me’

Global music sensation Doja Cat has bravely disclosed her diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) in a recent social media video. The artist revealed years of internal struggle and pretending, which have now led to her grappling with the disorder. She shared that therapy has been a significant part of her journey towards healing and self-acceptance.

Famed singer and rapper Doja Cat has always been candid about her life and has ensured that fans are updated about everything. In a new video posted on her handle, the star ended up revealing that she has Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

Doja Cat gets candid about her diagnosis

Taking to her official social media handle, Doja Cat opened up about her health. In a surprising revelation, the singer shared that she has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Talking about the same, she revealed that things finally caught up to her after years of pretending that everything is okay, and now she has been struggling with the disorder. In the video, she stated, “I’ve learned from a very young age to pretend that I like stuff, to pretend that I’m happy, to pretend that I don’t like stuff that I do, to appear like everything is okay. I’ll get it done. And it caught up with me, and I think it always does for people. I’m now struggling with BPD.”Calling her experience “agonising” in the video, she talked about how she has been suffering from the disorder for most of her life. She also pointed out that despite all of this, it remained undiagnosed until now. She also admitted that she has been in therapy for “years now” to help herself and get better.

Doja Cat defends Chapell Roan

IN the same video, the ‘Say So’ singer talked about her BPD diagnosis, all the while praising Roan for taking a stand for herself and for being whatever she wishes to be. “I had to learn how to be honest with myself. I lied to myself for years, for most of my life, and to see her sit there, and I love it,” the singer shared, further adding that, “I love that she can do that without hurting people. She hasn’t hurt one person by being herself, and that shows that I can do the same.”
