Diljit Dosanjh shares the moment on Instagram

Diljit Dosanjh took to Instagram to share a video from the special occasion, where he could be seen receiving the honour. Sharing the clip, the singer wrote, “Diljit Dosanjh day in LA,” adding, “The Los Angeles City Council has officially adopted a civic resolution declaring January 6, 2027, as ‘Diljit Dosanjh Day’.”In the same post, he further wrote, “Introduced by Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez, the resolution honours the Indian-born singer, actor, and producer for his significant contributions to globalising Punjabi music and promoting South Asian representation in mainstream American culture.”The video showed Diljit receiving a framed resolution from a woman during a private gathering. Dressed in a white kurta and pink salwar paired with his signature turban, the singer appeared visibly moved and folded his hands in gratitude as he accepted the honour. The recognition was introduced by Los Angeles Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez and marks yet another milestone in Diljit’s growing global journey. On the professional front, Diljit was recently seen in director Imtiaz Ali’s love story ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, which also features Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari in important roles. The cast also includes Banita Sandhu, Rajat Kapoor, Sanjay Suri, Anjana Sukhani and Danish Pandor.
