Did Zohran Mamdani confirm Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's New York wedding; says 'We are used to big events' - WATCH

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has sparked a wave of excitement among Swifties, after he seemed to confirm buzz about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s highly anticipated wedding.Amid buzz that the singer will wed in New York City, Mamdani, speaking at a press briefing, spoke about New York City’s role in hosting matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Highlighting the many high-profile events expected to take place in the city over the coming weeks, Mamdani said, “We are the biggest city in the country. We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one [World Cup]. We know it coincides with the Knicks’ Finals run. We know it coincides with the next finals run, July 4th, America’s 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding, all happening at the same time. We are so excited to welcome the world here.” The remark seems to ba an apparent confirmation of long-running reports that Swift and NFL star Kelce are set to marry in New York City this July. Reports in recent weeks have suggested the couple’s wedding could take place on July 3, just in time for the July 4 holiday weekend. Last week, news reports claimed that the wedding may just be held at the Madison Square Garden as a possible venue. However, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed a wedding date, venue, or any official plans for their ceremony.Swift and Kelce got engaged in August 2025 after approximately two years of dating and have remained one of the world’s most closely watched celebrity couples. While reports have suggested a large-scale New York celebration could be in the works, other sources have claimed the widely circulated details may be part of an effort to keep the couple’s actual plans private.
