Did Tabu, Bhumi react to reports of DP’s fee hike for Kalki 2?

Did Tabu, Bhumi Pednekar just react to reports of Deepika Padukone's demand for a fee hike amidst 'Kalki 2' row? Find out

Deepika Padukone has been in the news for her exit from ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ sequel with Prabhas. The makers of the film penned a note which read, “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future projects.”Before this, Deepika was in the news due to her exit from another Prabhas film ‘Spirit’. Soon after the ‘Kalki 2’ announcement, unverified reports began circulating, claiming that Deepika had demanded a 25% fee hike, insisted on working no more than a 7-hour shift, and wanted her large entourage of nearly 30 people accommodated on set. The news stirred heated conversations online, and interestingly, two of Bollywood’s most respected actresses seemed to subtly weigh in.

After Deepika Padukone Exits ‘Kalki 2’, She Joins Shah Rukh Khan In ‘King’

Bhumi Pednekar, known for her breakout role in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and who was last seen in ‘The Royals’, reacted by ‘liking’ an Instagram post from Telugu news portal The Aakashavaani that reported on Deepika’s removal from Kalki Part 2.

Meanwhile, Tabu also appeared to make her stance clear. She ‘liked’ a reel titled, “Reason Why Deepika Padukone Got Kicked Out From Kalki And Spirit”. The clip featured Aamir Khan from an interview with Komal Nahta, where he explained how it’s unfair to expect producers to pay for an actor’s entourage.

However, just the very next day after all these reports, Deepika dropped a picture holding Shah Rukh Khan’s hand and announced that she’s begun shooting for ‘King’. She dropped a cryptic note on Instagram reacting to her exit from the ‘Kalki 2’. She wrote, “The very first lesson he taught me almost 18 years ago, while filming Om Shanti Om, was that the experience of making a movie, and the people you make it with, matter far more than its success. I couldn’t agree more and have applied that learning to every decision I’ve made since. And that’s probably why we’re back making our 6th movie together. #king #day1.”‘King’ is directed by ‘Pathaan’ director Siddharth Anand.
