‘Dhurandhar’ slows down ahead of ‘Border 2’ release

'Dhurandhar' box office collection Day 48: Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna starrer slows down ahead of 'Border 2' release

The Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna-led spy film ‘Dhurandhar’, seems to be showing signs of slowing down at the box office as it nears the end of its theatrical run. According to reports, the film that has managed to stay above the Rs 1 crore mark thus far, saw a dip in its numbers on Wednesday.

‘Dhurandhar’ box office collection Day 48

As per early estimates by Sacnilk, the film witnessed a dip in collections as it hit its lowest collection to date. The film, currently in its seventh week, reportedly earned an estimated Rs 1.15 crore at the box office. ‘Dhurandhar’, has been maintaining its hold over the ticket window since its release on December 5. However, almost 50 days into its release, and the film has still been raking in big bucks at the box office. As per this week’s box office numbers, the film began week 7 on a shaky note, earning just around Rs 1.75 crore on Friday. It saw good growth over the weekend, with its Saturday and Sunday collections estimated to be around Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.75 crore, respectively.

‘Dhurandhar’ week 7 collections

While its weekday collections took a hit and saw the film dip to the Rs 1 crore range, it still managed to hit a total week 7 collection of Rs 12.7 crore. It remains to be seen if the film can hit the Rs 15 crore mark.

‘Dhurandhar’ week-wise box office collections:

Week 1 Collection: Rs 207.25 croreWeek 2 Collection: Rs 253.25 croreWeek 3 Collection: Rs 172 croreWeek 4 Collection: Rs 106.5 croreWeek 5 Collection: Rs 51.25 croreWeek 6 Collection: Rs 26.35 croreWeek 7 Collection: Rs 12.7 crore

‘Dhurandhar’ worldwide collections

The current net total collection of ‘Dhurandhar’ currently stands at an impressive Rs 829.4 crore. Meanwhile, the film’s India gross collection has now hit an estimated Rs 995 crore. With the international markets showing no signs of improvement in its box office numbers, the film’s total worldwide haul is estimated to be around Rs 1288.9.

‘Dhurandhar’ vs ‘Border 2’

Over the past months, ‘Dhurandhar’ gone up against films like ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’, ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, ‘Ikkis’ and ‘The Raja Saab’ and come out victorious at the box office. However, the film might just face its biggest challenge with the release of ‘Border 2’ set to release on Friday. Go to Source
