Dhurandhar: Ranveer Singh film nears Rs 1,000cr milestone

'Dhurandhar' box office collection Day 19: Ranveer Singh starrer nears Rs 900 crore ahead of Christmas holiday; maintains dominance over 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'

‘Dhurandhar’, the spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh in the lead, has been rewriting the box office record books, with each passing day. The film has been showing remarkable consistency even as it nears its fourth week in theatres.

‘Dhurandhar’ box office collection Day 19

As per early estimates on Sacnilk, the film earned approximately Rs 17.25 crore India net on its nineteenth day. While the collections remained below the Rs 20 crore mark, Tuesday saw a marginal growth compared to the film’s third Monday.

‘Dhurandhar’ box office collection week 3

The Dhar directorial had wrapped up its third weekend with an impressive Rs 95.25 crore haul, before witnessing a sharp 57.1% dip on Monday, when it earned around Rs 16.5 crore. With the addition of Tuesday’s collections, the film’s estimated India net total for the week now stands at Rs 129 crore.

‘Dhurandhar’ occupancy

On Day 19, ‘Dhurandhar’ recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 30.70%, with morning shows witnessing the lowest footfalls. However, occupancy levels picked up through the afternoon, evening, and night shows, remaining above the 30% mark for most of the day.

‘Dhurandhar’ worldwide box office

Meanwhile, the film’s all-India gross collections have surged past the Rs 700 crore milestone, currently standing at an estimated Rs 707.5 crore. Overseas, the film continues to show strong traction and is fast approaching the Rs 200 crore mark, with a 19-day overseas total of approximately Rs 190 crore. This takes the film’s worldwide gross to an estimated Rs 897.5 crore, a figure that has reportedly secured ‘Dhurandhar’ a place among the Top 10 highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time.

‘Dhurandhar’ to enter Rs 1,000 crore club

As the film heads into the Christmas week, trade experts remain confident that its unprecedented consistency will propel it beyond the Rs 1000 crore milestone, making it the first film of Ranveer Singh’s career to enter the elite club. However, unless ‘Dhurandhar’ sees exceptional growth on Wednesday and Thursday, the current week is expected to be its lowest weekly total so far. The film had earlier posted a smashing debut week collection of Rs 207.25 crore, followed by an even stronger second week total of Rs 252.25 crore.

‘Dhurandhar’ to get a boost from Christmas holiday

With two days still left before the third week concludes, it remains to be seen whether the film can recover momentum and push past the Rs 200 crore mark for the week. Released on December 5 without the advantage of a holiday or extended weekend, ‘Dhurandhar’ has managed to rake in massive numbers purely on the strength of its content and word of mouth. With the Christmas holiday falling on Thursday, all eyes are now on whether the film can once again boost its box office collections.

‘Dhurandhar’ creates new box office record

Notably, ‘Dhurandhar’ has already scripted history by becoming the first Indian film to collect Rs 20 crore or more for 17 consecutive days. Maintaining a Rs 20 crore-plus floor across two full working weeks and three weekends is a feat that even iconic blockbusters like ‘Dangal’ and ‘RRR’ were unable to achieve. Go to Source
