Dharmendra hospitalized: Salman Khan arrives to check on veteran actor's health

Veteran actor Dharmendra remains under close medical watch, reportedly on ventilator support at Breach Candy hospital. His sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, are by his side. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was also seen visiting the hospital, underscoring his strong bond with the Deol family, having shared screen space with Dharmendra in several films.

Dharmendra has been under close medical observation for a week now. Reportedly, the veteran actor is on ventilator support. His sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol have already arrived at the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai, where he has been admitted. And now, Salman Khan has been spotted entering the hospital premises to check on the veteran actor’s health.

For the unversed, Salman Khan shares a good bond with the Deol family. The superstar and the veteran actor have featured together in their popular film ‘Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya’. Khan also made a special appearance in Deol’s ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phirse’ and ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’. Not just that, Bobby Deol has also credited his revival in the film industry to Salman Khan, as the superstar offered him ‘Race 3’.On the other hand, Dharmendra has worked in the movie ‘Sholay’, which was co-written by Salman’s father, Salim Khan.

For the uninitiated, the veteran actor is said to be suffering from breathing difficulties. His son, Sunny Deol’s team, has already issued a statement saying that the veteran actor is currently under observation.Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini, told the Hindustan Times, “We are hoping for his speedy recovery.” She also shared a post on X that read, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji, who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored, and we are all with him. 🙏 I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”On the other hand, according to NDTV, Dharmendra’s team has also released a statement. It read, “Mr. Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy.”Dharmendra was last seen in the film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. He will next feature in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’.
