Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away at the age of 74 on Saturday in Mumbai. The actor passed away due to kidney failure and his funeral took place on Sunday. While he has played a number of characters in his long career, since the last few years, he was largely loved and remembered for the cult show ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’ where he played the iconic character of Indravadhan Sarabhai. The entire team of the show was highly emotional as they attended his last rites at the Pawan Hans crematorium. The team of ‘Sarabhai…’ bid an emotional farewell to him as they sang the theme song of the show to Satish Shah’s pyre. Sumeet Raghavan who played Sahil on the show, along with Rupali Ganguly who played Monisha were seen with Rajesh Kumar who essayed Rosesh Sarabhai. One saw producer JD Majethia as well with director Deven Bhojani and writer, director Aatish Kapadia. Actor Paresh Ganatra was also present with them. As they sang the title track of ‘Sarabhai…’, they couldn’t control their tears. Deven has revealed why the team sang to this song to his pyre. He shared the video and wrote, “May look mad, dark, weird whatever but we always sing this when together & today was not an exception. Felt as if INDU himself insisted and joined us #RIP #SatishShah ji I am blessed to have directed you in #sarabhaivssarabhai You’ll live forever in our hearts ❤️” Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar expressed, “The final bye.. could not have been complete without #sarabhai song.. LONG LIVE INDU.. kaka did you hear.. I also tried to sing😭😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻” Fans loved this gesture from the team and felt emotional as well.
