Bobby Deol: I'm so happy that I was Gauri’s favourite actor- Exclusive

Bobby Deol, riding high on the success of ‘Animal,’ is set to star in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Ba***rds of Bollywood.’ Deol plays a superstar whose daughter is also debuting in the film. He accepted the role without hesitation, emphasizing the importance of supporting newcomers and praising Aryan’s talent and potential to forge his own identity in the industry.

Bobby Deol has had a resurgence at the box office post the success of Animal, today he has multiple projects at different levels across languages and platforms. He will be seen in Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s debut show The Ba ***ds of Bollywood. He plays the role of a superstar in the film, whose daughter played by Sahher Bambba is making her debut as an actress. Shah Rukh Khan in an interview had shared that Gauri’s favorite actor was Bobby Deol. Now in an exclusive interview with ETimes, when asked if he ever asked Aryan that being his mother’s favourite was the reason why he was cast in the film. He said, “ I’m so happy that I was her favourite actor at that point. It’s not that. What made it more special was that it was Shah Rukh’s son’s first step into this industry. (5 And me, being a father as well, and having my own kids who want to get into this industry, I understand how important and special it is, you know. And so, when I got the phone call,) they just said that Red Chilli is producing it, and Aryan is directing it, and they want me for the character.I said, I’m doing it. I didn’t even want to hear the script. Because this is how our industry is, we’re there for each other.”“ When I worked with Aryan, I can say that he is a name to reckon with. He has his own identity, and I think he’s going to surpass all the pressure people expect him to be under, the shadows of his father, but I think he’s going to make a name for himself. So it was great working with him” he added. The show has a series of cameos by the superstars of industries like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh and many more.
