Daisy Shah recalls ex-boyfriend’s toxic behaviour

Daisy Shah recalls toxic ex-boyfriend’s anger over her working with men: ‘Cannot handle strong women…’

Daisy Shah has faced her share of ups and downs, navigating romance while building a career in Bollywood. From dealing with misunderstandings to confronting controlling behaviour, she has learned to stand up for herself and prioritise her happiness. The ‘Jai Ho’ actress recently opened up about her past relationships and the challenges she faced with toxic men.

Daisy Shah reveals she has been in only two long-term relationships

In a chat with Hauterrfly, Daisy revealed that she has been in only two long-term relationships. Speaking to Hauterrfly, she said her ex-boyfriend also worked in Bollywood. She recalled incidents that bothered her, including one at a party when she was dancing with friends.“You cannot get mad at me if someone pulls my hand from behind and asks me to dance, I’m not in control of that,” Daisy explained. She made it clear that the gesture was harmless and did not mean she was trying to hit on anyone.

Ex-boyfriend showed double standards

Daisy also pointed out her ex’s hypocrisy. “When the same thing happened with him, he asked me to be understanding,” she said. These double standards, she explained, were frustrating and highlighted the controlling behaviour she faced in the relationship.

Marriage not a current priority for Daisy

When talking about marriage, Daisy revealed that she is not interested in marrying someone right now. She explained her hesitation by saying, “I have come across such men who cannot handle strong women.” Her words show that she values independence and is careful about choosing the right partner.

Daisy explains she is financially independent and confident

Daisy also stressed her financial independence and confidence. “I am so secure in my life that I don’t need a man to complete me financially,” she sadded.

Daisy’s film career

Daisy began her career as an assistant choreographer for Ganesh Acharya. She made her acting debut as a lead in the 2011 Kannada film ‘Bhadra’. Her big break in Hindi cinema came with the 2014 Salman Khan-starrer ‘Jai Ho’. Daisy was last seen in the 2023 film ‘Mystery of the Tattoo’ and the 2024 web series ‘Red Room’.
