CM Vijay saddened by Ajith’s mother’s death

CM Vijay mourns the demise of Tamil star Ajith Kumar’s mother Mohini Mani; 'Deeply saddened'

Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s bearing the loss of his mother Mohini Mani, who passed away at the age of 85 in Chennai on Saturday. She reportedly had been receiving treatment for age-related health problems at a private hospital in the city. As several fans and celebrities have been sharing their sadness, actor turned politician CM Vijay also expressed his condolences.

CM Vijay expresses condolences

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay expressed his condolences to Ajith Kumar and his family. He shared his support with the actor and his loved ones during this difficult time. The Chief Minister also paid tribute to Mohini Mani and acknowledged the pain being faced by the family after her passing.

CM Vijay’s official statement

On his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, his statement in English reads, “I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Mrs. Mohini Ammaiyar, the mother of my dear friend Mr. Ajith Kumar. I pray that her soul rests in peace at the divine feet of the Lord. I convey my deepest condolences to my friend Mr. Ajith Kumar, who is grieving the loss of his mother, who was a pillar of support and embrace in all stages of life, and to his family members.” Mohini Mani breathed her last on Saturday morning after battling age-related health issues. Her passing has come as a big loss for her family and those who knew her. The family had already gone through a difficult period in 2023 when Ajith Kumar’s father, P. Subramani, passed away at the age of 84. Mohini Mani’s death marks another emotional loss for the family.

Ajith Kumar to return home

Ajith Kumar is currently in Dubai. According to an IANS report, he is expected to return to Chennai immediately to be with his family and take part in the funeral proceedings.The last rites are expected to be held at the actor’s residence in Palavakkam, Chennai. Family members, friends, and people from the film industry are likely to gather to pay their final respects.
