‘Border 2’ Movie Review and Release Live Updates

2026’s one of the most awaited movies, ‘Border 2’ is all set to make its big screen debut today, and the audience can’t keep calm. This sequel to the 1997 ‘Border’ is making its way to cinephiles after a gap of more than 2.5 decades and will engage fans with the cinematic depiction of one of India’s greatest wars. With actors like Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and others in the lead, the film is all about sacrifice, bravery, and the unheard and unseen tales from the frontlines. ‘Border 2’: Advance booking

According to Sacnilk, the speed at which ‘Border 2’ tickets are sold is beyond comprehension. The industry trackers have recorded that the movie has sold nearly 50 tickets per minute in its final leg of advance bookings. Further, according to the prediction of the experts, the movie is expected to make over Rs 35 crore on its opening day. The long weekend will only add to the box office success, which is predicted to cross the Rs 125 crore mark.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, which made Rs 4 crore in advance bookings a day before its release, has already been surpassed, with Sunny Deol’s ‘Border 2’ earning almost Rs 6 crore at the same time.

‘Border 2’: Plot

Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Border 2’ is an Indian war epic. The movie is set in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, which aims to showcase how the men from the Army, Air Force, and Navy contributed every ounce of their blood and sweat to fight the enemies at the border. From their strategies to their sacrifices, this emotion-packed film promises to honor the valor and salute the patriotic spirit of the soldiers who fought on the frontlines, and their families who stood by their decision.

‘Border 2’: Cast and crew

This spiritual sequel to the 1997 ‘Border’ boasts an ensemble cast. It features Sunny Deol as
Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler, Varun Dhawan as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, Diljit Dosanjh as Indian Air Force Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, and Ahan Shetty as Lt Cdr Joseph Noronha in the lead.

In addition to the above mentioned names, the movie has Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Guneet Sandhu, Ram Singh, Nishan Singh, Sudesh Berry, and Gaurahha Ujjwal, among others.

Coming to names that have worked behind the camera. Anurag Singh, in addition to direction, has helped with the dialogues and screenplay, alongside Sumit Arora. Meanwhile, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta have worked on the story.
