Bobby Deol hid Aashram from his family over intimate scenes

Bobby Deol reveals why he hid Aashram from his family over intimate scenes: 'I only told my wife, she is my backbone'

Bobby Deol recently opened up about the struggles, insecurities, and comeback phase of his career while speaking to Shekhar Suman on his chat show. From discussing intimate scenes in Aashram to becoming “Lord Bobby” on social media, the actor candidly reflected on the emotional lows that shaped him.During the conversation, Shekhar Suman pointed out how OTT shows often include abusive language and sexually explicit scenes, mentioning how Bobby appeared surprisingly comfortable performing such scenes in ‘Aashram’.Reacting to this, Bobby admitted that he had initially hidden details of the role from his family.“First of all, when I heard the story, I didn’t tell my father, my mother, or even my brother,” Bobby said.“I only told one person — my wife. I had to tell her, otherwise if she found out later, I would’ve been in trouble,” he joked. The actor then became emotional while talking about his wife Tanya Deol, crediting her for standing by him during the most difficult phase of his life and career.“Whatever I am today is because of my wife,” he shared. “When I was going through a bad phase, she handled the entire house. I think she is my backbone.” Bobby added that his wife understood his desire to experiment with different roles and encouraged him to move ahead despite his fears and self-doubt.

‘My son’s words changed me overnight’

The actor also reflected on the period when he was struggling professionally and emotionally. Bobby admitted that constant setbacks had started affecting his confidence.“One starts doubting oneself. Your mind gets disturbed,” he said.He then recalled a moment involving his son Aryaman Deol that completely changed his outlook on life.“One day my son told my wife, ‘Papa just sits at home while you go to work,’ and something snapped inside me overnight,” Bobby revealed.Following that moment, the actor decided to focus on rebuilding himself physically and mentally.“My father always says health is wealth,” Bobby shared. “That day I decided I would first make myself healthy.”Since then, Bobby says he has been consistently working out six days a week and continues to maintain the same discipline even today.

Bobby Deol reacts to ‘Lord Bobby’ memes

The actor also opened up about becoming a social media phenomenon through the “Lord Bobby” meme culture.Bobby revealed that the trend actually started after people mocked him for pretending to DJ at an event despite not knowing how to operate a DJ console.“I went to an event and they told me to stand behind the DJ console and act like I was playing music,” he recalled.“A month later everyone started making fun of me. I’m not even a DJ. Even today people think I am one and message me asking if I’ll perform at events.”However, Bobby said the trolling eventually transformed into genuine affection from fans.“People converted that into so much love. They lovingly call me Lord Bobby, and that’s why I feel blessed,” he said. Go to Source
