Bobby Deol opens up about ‘the biggest struggle in the industry’
In an interview with PTI, Bobby Deol shared that actors dream of playing characters that would bring the best out of them; however, such opportunities are rare. He said, “The biggest struggle in this industry is to be recognized for one’s true capabilities.” He went on to share, “I feel really lucky to have this opportunity.”Bobby Deol didn’t stop there; he added that he accepted the role because he wanted to do a character “which challenged me and was out of my comfort zone.” He stated that God has been kind to him, and because of people’s love, he has the energy to work harder for his fans. He said, “So, I’m excited for that film.”

‘Bandar’ recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2025. Apart from Bobby Deol, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Saba Azad, and Sapna Pabbi. The story of the film revolves around a movie star who is on the decline and gets accused of rape by his former lover.In an earlier interview with Lallantop, Anurag Kashyap shared what Bobby Deol told him. Recalling the same, the filmmaker shared, “He said, ‘When I turned 40, someone told me, Bobby, you need to learn how to act. No one ever told me that in my childhood.'”Kashyap stated that the actor took that advice to heart. The director stated that when Bobby did ‘Aashram’ or ‘Love Hostel’, he essayed the characters totally opposite to who he is in real life. Meanwhile, Deol is amassing praise for his role in Aryan Khan’s show, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’.
