‘Blast’ box office collections day 11: Arjun Sarja’s film sees 24.3% growth; Worldwide gross crosses Rs 52 cr

Arjun Sarja’s ‘Blast’ witnessed a positive jump at the box office during its second weekend. The action entertainer benefited from Sunday footfalls and registered an increase in collections.According to Sacnilk estimates, the film collected Rs 4.35 crore in India net on Day 11. This reflects a 24.3 percent rise compared to Day 10 collections of Rs 3.50 crore.

‘Blast’s worldwide total crosses another milestone

With Day 11 collections included, ‘Blast’ has now accumulated approximately Rs 35.74 crore in India net collections. India gross earnings currently stand at around Rs 41.10 crore. International markets have contributed nearly Rs 11.70 crore in gross collections so far. The film’s worldwide gross total has now reached approximately Rs 52.80 crore.Tamil collections contributed Rs 3.92 crore, while the Telugu version added approximately Rs 43 lakhs.Overall occupancy for the Tamil version stood at 46.87 percent. Afternoon shows emerged as the strongest period with 55.08 percent occupancy. Evening and night shows also maintained stable numbers.State-wise figures further showed that Tamil Nadu remained the leading market for the film. The film completed its first week with collections of Rs 25.78 crore. The second week witnessed expected weekday drops. Saturday collections reached Rs 3.50 crore and Sunday’s earnings increased further. The coming weekdays will now determine whether Blast can continue sustaining its performance.

‘Karuppu’ continues strong run in fourth week

Meanwhile, Suriya’s ‘Karuppu’ continues maintaining its momentum at the box office despite entering its fourth week. The film recorded another rise in earnings on Day 24.According to Sacnilk, ‘Karuppu’ earned approximately Rs 1.75 crore in India net on Day 24. This represented a 19 percent increase compared to Day 23 collections of Rs 1.47 crore.The film’s India net total has now reached around Rs 193.40 crore.
