Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s weekly Sunday darshan outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, witnessed a tense moment this weekend after a fan reportedly fainted amid the huge crowd gathered to see the actor. Videos from the incident have surfaced online and are now circulating widely across social media platforms.As part of his decades-old Sunday tradition, Amitabh Bachchan stepped outside Jalsa on May 24 to greet fans waiting outside his home. However, according to viral videos and online reports, the gathering soon became difficult to manage due to the heavy crowd.The situation reportedly turned stampede-like after a fan fainted and collapsed in the middle of the crowd, leading to panic among people present at the spot. Several fans were seen attempting to help the individual by offering water and trying to clear some space around them.The condition of the fan has not been officially confirmed yet. Meanwhile, the incident has reignited discussions online about crowd control and security arrangements during the megastar’s weekly public appearances.

Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic Sunday tradition

For years, Amitabh Bachchan’s Sunday darshan outside Jalsa has remained a major attraction for fans visiting Mumbai. Every week, hundreds of admirers gather outside the actor’s residence to wave at him, click photographs, and witness the iconic moment in person.The tradition has become deeply emotional for many fans, with some travelling from different cities and states just to catch a glimpse of the legendary actor.

First appearance after hospitalisation rumours

Sunday’s appearance also marked Amitabh Bachchan’s first public outing after rumours about his alleged hospitalisation at Lilavati Hospital spread online earlier this week. However, the actor later appeared to brush aside the rumours by posting a cryptic and poetic message on social media. Reports also claimed that he is “absolutely fine.”On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen reprising his role as Ashwatthama in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD.He also has Section 84 in the pipeline. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the courtroom drama stars Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles. The film has completed shooting, though its release date is yet to be announced.
