Ansiba Hassan moves court amid AMMA row

Ansiba Hassan moves court amid AMMA row: Seeks FIR against Lakshmipriya and police officer

The continuous problems within the actors’ union, AMMA, have reached a turning point with actor Ansiba Hassan taking her case to court. She is filing a case in the Thrippunithura Magistrate Court against another actress, Lakshmipriya, and a female Sub-Inspector from the Thrippunithura Women’s Police Station. This development occurs against the backdrop of increasing conflicts inside the union, where disputes between its members have become more public.

Actress seeks FIR registration through court petition

As per the English Mathrubhumi report, in her petition, Ansiba appealed to the court to register an FIR against the mentioned persons based on her complaint. She had previously filed similar complaints against Lakshmipriya, SI Reshma, and Lakshmipriya’s husband before the Chief Minister and other concerned authorities. However, after an inquiry, the police reportedly concluded that the allegations lacked sufficient grounds. Ansiba later submitted another complaint to the police, but alleged before the court that no FIR was registered. She also claimed that political influence prevented the police from taking action.

The court seeks a police report on the matter

The Thrippunithura Magistrate Court has accepted the petition and directed the police to submit a report regarding the complaint. The court is expected to make a final decision after reviewing the report. The latest controversy emerges at an important juncture when AMMA is set to hold its general body meeting soon. The legal dispute adds more fuel to the fire brewing within AMMA regarding its functioning.

AMMA faces internal rift ahead of general body meeting

The controversy was sparked by Ansiba’s resignation from the post of Joint Secretary of AMMA. Ansiba has spoken out against the functioning of the organization, accusing certain members of marring its image. One of her main accusations was against actor Tini Tom, who allegedly made defamatory comments. Actress Lakshmipriya, on her part, is planning to file a Rs 10-crore defamation case against Ansiba.Disclaimer: The information in this report is based on a legal hearing as reported by a third-party source.
