Allu Arjun summoned by Nampally Court in ‘Pushpa 2’ stampede case

Allu Arjun summoned by Nampally Court in 'Pushpa 2' Sandhya Theatre stampede case; personal appearance ordered

In a major legal escalation following the tragic incident during the release of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, the Nampally Court in Hyderabad has issued a summons to Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, ordering his personal appearance in court. Listed as Accused No. 11 (A11) in the comprehensive police charge sheet, the actor has been directed to attend the crucial hearing regarding crowd management lapses and security failures that resulted in a woman’s death. As the trial surrounding the December 2024 benefit show tragedy gathers significant momentum, all eyes are on the upcoming legal proceedings involving the theatre management and the superstar.

Allu Arjun summoned as A11 in the charge sheet

The latest update comes after the court issued summons to multiple accused named in the case. According to News 18, Allu Arjun has been listed as Accused No. 11 (A11), while members of the Sandhya Theatre management have been named as A1 to A10. Police already filed a detailed charge sheet naming 23 individuals in connection with the incident. The court reportedly issued notices to 19 accused persons and directed them to appear before it.

Stampede during ‘Pushpa 2’ benefit show ended in tragedy

This particular incident occurred on December 4, 2024, when a fundraising show for the movie ‘Pushpa 2’ ended in a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre. In this stampede, a woman named Revathi lost her life, and her son was seriously injured. This incident led to a lot of debate in the Telugu film industry about crowd management at film-related events.

Investigation focuses on crowd management and security arrangements

In accordance with the report, the concerned authorities investigated the reasons behind the overcrowding at the theatre’s entrance. The police claim the overcrowding resulted from fans running to get a glimpse of Allu Arjun during his visit to the theater. The accused involved in the incident include not only the person involved in the accident but also the theatre officials, security, and other event management personnel named in the charge sheet. On the other hand, Allu Arjun had earlier supported the victim’s family and provided medical help to the injured kid. Now the court has ordered him to appear in person.
