‘Akhanda 2’: Samyuktha Menon heaps praises on Balakrishna

‘Akhanda 2’: Samyuktha Menon heaps praises on Balakrishna; calls him ‘rare actor who surrenders to the director’: ‘I truly admire this quality of his’

As anticipation builds for ‘Akhanda 2’, scheduled for a December 5, 2025 release, Samyuktha Menon has openly lauded Balakrishna Nandamuri as an extraordinary actor who puts full faith in his directors. The actress hints at a standout performance in the action-driven sequel, which is now set to stream on Netflix.

‘Akhanda 2’ is shaping up to be one of the biggest Telugu releases of 2025, and lead actress Samyuktha Menon cannot stop praising her co-star Balakrishna Nandamuri. The sequel is slated to hit theaters on December 5, 2025, and arrives with huge expectations after the success of ‘Akhanda’.

Samyuktha calls Balakrishna a rare actor

In a recent promotional interaction picked up by OTTplay, Samyuktha Menon described Balakrishna as a complete delight for filmmakers. She shared that Balakrishna is a director’s actor who follows the filmmaker’s vision with total trust, saying, “In my entire career, I have not seen any star just listen to the director and do whatever is told. Bala sir is a rare actor who surrenders to the director, and I truly admire this quality of his.” Streaming giant Netflix has already acquired the digital rights, ensuring the film will reach a global audience after its theatrical run.The actress, known for her work in hits like ‘Bimbisara’, ‘Sir’, and ‘Virupaksha’, plays a crucial role in ‘Akhanda 2’. She revealed that the narrative is loaded with high voltage action and drama and hinted that her character will not be overshadowed by the star heavy cast. “I watched the first part and was blown away. The sequel is going to be even bigger, and my character will surely stand out despite having big names in the film,” she said.

Balakrishna confident of another big hit

At a Tamil press meet, Balakrishna reflected on his long journey in cinema, telling reporters, “It’s been 50 years I came into the industry and I’m continuing as hero. Given continuous 4 hits, ‘Akhanda’, ‘VeeraSimhaReddy’, ‘BhagavanthKesari’ and ‘DaakuMaharaaj’. ‘Akhanda 2’ will also join the list. I don’t want to give routine films.”Directed by Boyapati Sreenu and scored by Thaman, ‘Akhanda 2’ has reportedly been mounted on a massive scale with intense, crowd pleasing set pieces. Samyuktha believes fans are in for a spectacle, promising that the hype will all be met on December 5, 2025 and that for Balakrishna’s fans the experience will be nothing less than a feast as theaters go berserk with his screen presence.
