Ajay and Anubhav bury the hatchet for a new action film

Ajay Devgn and Anubhav Sinha bury the hatchet for a new action film after 18-year fallout

Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha are reportedly in talks to reunite for a big-budget action film after 18 years of no contact since their 2007 film Cash flopped. Producer Kumar Mangat brought them together, and Ajay has asked Anubhav to make the film on a larger scale.

In massive news for Bollywood fans, superstar Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Anubhav Sinha have reportedly put their long-standing differences aside to collaborate on an upcoming project after 18 years. The duo had famously lost touch following the box office debacle of their 2007 heist film Cash, with Sinha previously revealing that they hadn’t spoken since. However, the icy chapter has officially closed thanks to producer Kumar Mangat, who brought the actor-director duo together for a script reading that paved the way for an ambitious cinematic reunion.

Ajay Devgn to star in Anubhav Sinha’s big-budget action film

According to Mid-day, it will be the kind of larger-than-life entertainers that Anubhav used to make before, like ‘Dus’ (2005) or ‘Ra.One’ (2011). Now, the director wants to try Ajay’s hand again at an ambitious action movie. After ‘Cash’, even though the duo did not speak, there was never a direct disagreement. Anubhav clarified that the disagreement was between the film’s producers and financiers. A few months ago, Kumar Mangat brought them together, and Anubhav pitched one of his three scripts to Ajay. The actor, Mangat, as well as producer Bhushan Kumar, instantly liked it, and the latter may come on board. Ajay asked Anubhav to make the scale bigger.

Ajay Devgn and Anubhav Sinha’s last film, ‘Cash,’ failed at the box office

‘Cash’ was a heist film that had a big star cast including Dia Mirza, Shamita Shetty, Esha Deol, Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty, Zayed Khan, and Riteish Deshmukh. The film did not do well at the box office, but the song ‘Mind-blowing Mahiya’ became a hit.

Ajay Devgn currently busy shooting ‘Golmaal 5’ with Akshay Kumar

On the professional front, Ajay Devgn is currently occupied with the shoot of ‘Golmaal 5’ alongside Akshay Kumar in Mumbai. The film, which is part of Rohit Shetty’s popular action-comedy franchise, is expected to release in theaters worldwide in 2027. Go to Source
