Sanjay Dutt, the compelling actor, has had a tumultuous life filled with uncanny experiences. Keeping a nonchalant attitude, the 66-year-old actor recently revealed that he doesn’t have any regrets, but only a wish that his parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, had lived longer. Recently, during his appearance as a guest on a popular celebrity talk show, Sanjay Dutt got candid about several topics, including his time in jail. Read on to know what the ‘Vaastav’ actor said.

Sanjay Dutt recalls being in jail

Sanjay Dutt, during ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show,’ remarked that he used to earn wages after making furniture and even paper bags while he was in jail. Moreover, he started Radio YCP for his fellow inmates, where they would think about the topics, and a couple of prisoners would write comedy scripts. However, the one incident that stunned everyone was his encounter with a man with charges of double murderer, making the jaws drop.

Recalling his encounter, the ‘Khal Nayak’ actor said that one of the police officers asked him to shave his long beard. While the actor resisted at first, he complied. The officer sent a man called Mishra ji, who certainly had a sharp razor in his hand for trimming the beard. During the conversation, Dutt asked him how long he had been in jail. Responding to the question, Mishra ji said, “For 15 years.” “By this time, his razor had reached my neck. I asked him what crime he had committed inside the jail,” he said, before adding, “He stated ‘double murder.’ I immediately held his hand and stopped him.” Concluding the quirky experience, the ‘Rocky’ actor said, “So, a double murder convict had a razor in his hand; that’s just an ordinary day in jail.”
