A video emerged capturing the moments following the collision in New York City.

According to ABC News, which cited air traffic control audio from the incident, the Delta regional jet was approaching the gate at LaGuardia Airport just as the other plane was arriving there after landing in New York City.

The regional jet collided wing-first with the nose of the other aircraft at approximately 9:56 pm local time, causing its wing to break off, as captured in ATC audio. Both planes were moving at low speeds when the incident occurred.

Preliminary information identifies the involved aircraft as Delta Flights DL5047 and DL5155.
