Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra is set for a comeback at the 2025 Diamond League Final in Zurich on August 28. The world champion and two-time Olympic medalist will face rivals Julian Weber and Keshorn Walcott in the men’s javelin throw final.

India’s javelin superstar Neeraj Chopra will be back in action later this month at the Diamond League Final in Zurich, Switzerland. The event will take place on August 27 and 28, and the men’s javelin throw final is scheduled for August 28.

Neeraj, who is a world champion and two-time Olympic medal winner, had already qualified for the final even though he skipped the recent Silesia leg. His earlier strong performances gave him enough points to make the cut.

Earlier this season, Neeraj set a new national record of 90.23m in Doha Diamond League, where he came second behind Germany’s Julian Weber. He also won the Paris leg with a throw of 88.16m.

In the final points table, Neeraj secured qualification with 15 points, the same as Kenya’s Julius Yego, while Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott topped the standings with 24 points, followed by Weber with 23 and Grenada’s Anderson Peters with 19.

Neeraj’s most recent appearance was the inaugural NC Classic in Bengaluru on July 5, where he threw 86.18m to win first place.
