Gave Hate Speech

Not only did the teacher show a horrific video to the students, he also said that Kirk “deserved” to be killed and gave a speech about anti-fascism and transgender issues.

After the matter was highlighted, the school took action and the teacher was sent on leave as of September 12.

School Principal Jennifer Koptie wrote to parents and recognized the seriousness of the situation.

“We are writing to inform you about an incident that is reported to have taken place in your child’s class yesterday,” the letter stated. “During class, students were said to have been shown a portion of a violent video in response to questions being asked about a recent tragic event in the United States.”
