A 75-year-old real estate agent from Manhattan has been accused of biting a young girl during a dispute over a free t-shirt at a concert in the Hamptons. Police arrested Gail Bomze after she allegedly assaulted several children at the “Tuesdays on Main Beach” event last week.

US outlet Page Six reported that Gail Bomze was said to have punched and kicked attendees before grabbing a seven-year-old girl and biting her arm, causing bleeding and swelling. Witnesses told police she had been “kicking and punching kids” while attempting to seize one of the free t-shirts handed out at the concert.

The girl’s parents contacted police, who later arrested Gail Bomze on charges of third-degree assault and endangering a child. She was issued an appearance ticket and released.

Gail Bomze’s lawyer denied the allegations, describing her as “a 75-year-old grandmother” who had been injured herself in the scramble. The lawyer said, “Ms Bomze firmly denies these allegations. She was knocked to the ground in the chaos by a group of teenagers during the t-shirt toss, leaving her sore and injured, and she reported her concerns in writing to the event organisers the very next day.”

The statement further elaborated, “The organisers promptly called her, apologised, and assured her that changes would be made to improve safety. She has also met with the police to raise her own concerns and asked that the incident be investigated. This unfortunate episode could have been avoided with better event management and appropriate crowd control measures in place.”

Gail Bomze has worked in luxury property for decades, including selling a $4m apartment for US talk show host Geraldo Rivera in 2016 and being involved in the sale of a Park Avenue townhouse for $21.8m in 2015.
