During the Monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad’s car was towed by traffic police after it was found parked in a no-parking zone in the state’s assembly premises.

The incident took place on Thursday when Nishad’s white Toyota Fortuner, parked by his driver inside the complex, caused a traffic jam.

The traffic authorities took prompt action and called a crane to tow away the vehicle. A video of this incident has since gone viral on social media platforms.

Sanjay Nishad, the National President of the Nishad Party and Minister of Fisheries, assumed office as a Cabinet Minister on March 25, 2022.

Meanwhile, the monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh assembly has witnessed discussions on several key state issues. Four Bills including Shri Banke Bihari Temple Trust Bill, 2025, were passed on Thursday, the last day of the session.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also highlighted his government’s achievements, claiming the state now enjoys a “fear-free environment”. He presented a detailed report on his administration’s performance over its tenure since 2017. The report covered major achievements in law and order, development, and governance.
