Union Minister Suresh Gopi’s Son Madhav, Detained In Kerala Roadside Spat

Madhav Suresh, Actor and son of Union Minister Suresh Gopi and Congress Leader Vinod Krishna, was taken into custody by Museum police in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday (August 21) night following a road rage altercation.

According to the police, the confrontation began when Madhav was travelling from Sasthamangalam to Vellayambalam, and Vinod Krishna was driving from the opposite side after taking a U-turn. An argument broke out between the two after there was limited space on the road for two cars to move. Madhav was seen blocking the vehicle of Vinod and arguing.

The police rushed to the scene after being informed about the incident. As per the witnesses, Madhav was drunk, police took him into custody and checked.

Police rushed to the spot after being alerted about the incident. Witnesses alleged that Madhav was drunk, following which he was taken into custody for verification. It was later confirmed that Madhav was not under the influence of alcohol. He, in turn, told the police that he had seen Vinod driving while talking on the phone.

Soon, Vinod submitted a written statement, declaring that he did not wish to pursue the matter further, an official said. In the absence of a formal complaint, Suresh was released within a short while.
