Local Hindu groups, including members of Bajrang Dal, objected to the posters and alerted police officials. Station Officer Amit Kumar arrived with a police team, removed the posters, and detained a young man in connection with the matter.

In a separate incident in Modinagar, a flex board carrying a similar message was found placed in the middle of a road. Bajrang Dal officials reported the matter to ACP Amit Saxena, after which the posters were removed.

Administrative action

Authorities have registered cases under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS). Officials say they are keeping a close watch on the situation to prevent escalation and maintain peace.

The appearance of counter-posters such as “I Love Mahadev” and “I Love Yogi Ji” has intensified the row, turning it into a political and communal flashpoint. The Ghaziabad administration has appealed for calm and urged residents not to be provoked by such displays.
