Gurugram Police have arrested another suspect in connection with the recent firing outside the house of Bigg Boss winner and popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav. The accused, identified as 24-year-old Jatin from Faridabad, was taken into custody for his alleged role in planning the attack and providing the motorcycle used in the crime.

According to police, Jatin had been working as a Rapido bike rider in Gurugram for the past two months. During interrogation, he admitted to arranging the motorcycle for his associates, who carried out the shooting at Yadav’s residence in Sector-57.

Investigators have also recovered the bike used in the incident from Jatin’s possession. Police said further questioning is underway to trace others involved in the case.

Earlier, one accused, identified as Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, a resident of Jawahar Colony, Faridabad, was caught after an encounter, during which he was shot in the leg and later admitted to the hospital for treatment. He opened fire at the police team with an automatic pistol, firing more than half a dozen rounds before being overpowered.

Elvish Yadav made headlines recently after his Gurugram residence came under gunfire in the early hours of August 17. Police confirmed that unidentified attackers fired several rounds outside his Sector 57 home.

Sharing details of the attack, Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, had said, “Three masked miscreants opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Gurugram’s Sector 57. The incident took place at around 5:30 AM. More than a dozen rounds were fired. Elvish Yadav was not at his residence at the time of the firing.”

Elvish’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, also confirmed the incident to ANI and shared, “We heard a sound around 5.30 in the morning. When we came outside and looked, we saw that bullets had been fired here. Then we immediately checked the CCTV. We found that there were two people involved for sure, and probably a third one too. We informed the police. These people fired more than 15 rounds.”

He also revealed that Elvish was not at home when the tragic incident took place. “May God give wisdom to the people who did this. Naturally, we feel scared,” he said.

The notorious Himanshu Bhau gang has taken responsibility for the attack via an alleged Instagram post, accusing the YouTuber of promoting gambling.
