Delhi BMW crash accused Gaganpreet Kaur will stay in jail as the court denied her bail.

Navjot Singh (52), a deputy secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, was killed on September 14 when his motorcycle was hit by a BMW car while he was returning from the Bangla Sahib Gurdwara with his wife, Sandeep Kaur. While Singh died, his wife was seriously injured in the incident.

The court will hear bail application of Gaganpreet on September 20.

The public prosecutor, representing Delhi Police, said that Gaganpreet was well aware of how crucial every minute is in a case of accident but she deliberately took the victim to hospital, 20 kilometres away from accident spot even when other advised him to take the victim to a nearby hospital.

The lawyer for Navjot Singh’s family said Gaganpreet was driving so fast. “Imagine the speed of the vehicle that it turned upside down,” he said.
