The matter came to light when the victim’s mother, while preparing for Teej Puja, discovered the gold jewellery missing from the family locker. When she questioned her son, he eventually broke down and revealed the entire ordeal.
He admitted he had been blackmailed over a period of time by older students who threatened to expose the videos if he didn’t comply.
FIR Filed Against Accused Students
Following the shocking revelation, the victim’s father lodged a complaint at Gomti Nagar police station. Based on his statement, the police have filed an FIR against five named students and several unidentified individuals under sections 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation), and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The station in-charge confirmed that the matter is under active investigation, and special teams have been deployed to track down and apprehend the accused.
