A girl was injured after she fell from a boat swing at the historic Dol Mela in Rajasthan’s Baran. The incident took place after the girl lost her grip.

A video of the incident is also going viral online. It shows the girl being thrown out and falling off the swing. Following the incident, she was rushed to the nearby district hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment.

The Dol Mela (also known as Dol Gyaras Mela) is a religious and cultural fair held in the Baran district of Rajasthan. The beginning of Mela goes back way back in time and has a historical significance.

Baran’s Dol Mela is said to have begun around 1680 during the time of Keshav Bhav Singh Hada of Bundi. Originally, it was a simpler gathering at the banks of Banganaga (a river) near Baran, which later evolved into the present Dol Mela.
