Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Monday said that 100% of ration cards across India have now been digitised, and 99% of the beneficiaries are linked to Aadhaar.

Joshi, who holds the portfolios of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, as well as New and Renewable Energy, made the remarks while speaking at the Network18 Reforms Reloaded event held in New Delhi.

The minister also spoke about broader reforms, saying that compliances have been simplified and that online systems for input credit refunds have brought big relief to businesses.

“What can be a bigger relief for businesses than this?” the Union Minister said.
