Škoda Auto India on Monday said it has opened bookings for the all-new Kodiaq RS, which will be offered in a limited run of just 50 units. Bookings have commenced with an initial booking amount of ₹3 lakh.

According to the official press release, the launch coincides with two milestones for the Czech automaker — over 50 years of the RS performance badge and 125 years of Škoda’s motorsport heritage.

The Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that develops 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. According to the company, the SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 231 kmph.

To enhance driving dynamics, the SUV comes equipped with Progressive Steering and the latest-generation Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) Plus system. The adaptive suspension setup offers 15 levels of damping adjustment and works alongside multiple drive modes, including Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, Snow and Off-Road.

Visually, the Kodiaq RS features a range of RS-specific design elements, including blacked-out exterior accents on the grille, ORVMs, window surrounds, roof rails and D-pillars. The cabin gets black leather upholstery with contrasting red stitching to reinforce its sporty positioning.

Customers can choose from four exterior colour options — Moon White, Magic Black, Velvet Red and Steel Grey.

The company has also launched a new marketing campaign titled ‘Surrender’, aimed at highlighting the luxury SUV’s performance-focused character, added the release.
