Maruti Suzuki India on Friday inaugurated its 200th NEXA Studio outlet, expanding the footprint of its premium retail channel NEXA across India.

The company said the expansion is aimed at bringing the NEXA car-buying experience to customers in semi-urban and emerging markets.

NEXA currently has more than 740 outlets across over 530 cities, operating through two formats — NEXA main outlets and NEXA Studio outlets — depending on geography and sales potential.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, said the rapid expansion of NEXA Studios reflects the company’s focus on reaching aspirational buyers in smaller towns.

“NEXA stands for innovation, design and a premium ownership experience. The rapid expansion of NEXA Studios demonstrates our commitment to make this experience accessible to aspirational customers in semi-urban areas,” Takeuchi said.

The company aims to increase the number of NEXA Studio outlets to 600 by the end of FY31, he added.

Introduced in August 2024, the NEXA Studio format is a compact retail concept designed to extend the premium NEXA experience to new geographies. The outlets offer integrated sales, service, and spare parts facilities under one roof to improve customer convenience.

Maruti Suzuki launched the NEXA channel in 2015 to attract a new category of buyers seeking a more premium car purchasing experience.

In FY25, the channel accounted for nearly 30 per cent of the company’s domestic sales with more than 5.4 lakh vehicles sold.

Vehicles sold through the NEXA channel include the Baleno, Fronx, Grand Vitara, XL6, Ignis, Jimny, Invicto, and e-Vitara.
