New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Friday said it produced over 22.55 lakh vehicles in calendar year 2025, its highest-ever annual production, marking the second consecutive year in which the carmaker crossed the 20 lakh unit mark.
The production volume includes vehicles manufactured for domestic sales, exports and OEM supplies. The top five models by production during the year were the Fronx, Baleno, Swift, Dzire and Ertiga.
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said the record output was enabled by strong collaboration with employees and supplier partners, along with a high degree of localisation.
Maruti Suzuki began operations in India in 1983 with its first plant in Gurugram, Haryana. Over the years, the company expanded its manufacturing footprint to Manesar and Kharkhoda in Haryana and recently integrated its Gujarat plant into operations.
The automaker currently manufactures 17 models and over 650 variants across its facilities. Maruti Suzuki said it plans to scale up its manufacturing capacity to 4 million units per annum to meet growing domestic demand and support exports.>
