German carmaker Porsche has given additional responsibilities of its India operations to Ashutosh Dixit, who currently heads Porsche Middle East, sources familiar with the matter told ETAuto.

Dixit will oversee the India business alongside his existing responsibilities following the departure of India Director Manolito Vujicic, who is returning after completing his tenure, according to people aware of the development.

The move comes at a time when Porsche is witnessing strong growth in India. The luxury carmaker reported record sales in 2024, crossing the 1,000-unit mark for the first time. Its current portfolio in India includes both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles such as the Cayenne, Macan and Taycan.

Dixit took charge in Porsche in April 2025 where he headed market development and is expected to focus on strengthening Porsche’s brand presence, expanding its dealer network, and accelerating growth in the premium segment.

His previous stints include companies such as Audi AG, Volkswagen, Audi FBU, Skoda India and many more.

He completed his academics from IIM Indore in MBA, Sales & Marketing, International Business and General Management in 1995, Bachelor of Science (BSc), Electronics & Computer Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in 1993.

His expanded role highlights Porsche’s intent to streamline leadership across key growth markets. His key strengths include Strategy & Business Management, Sales Operations & Steering, Brand Management & Product Marketing, Network Development, Business Consulting and Project Management.
