The OTT giant confirmed that ‘The Girlfriend’ would stream from December 5. Sharing the poster on social media, the platform captioned, “Meet Bhooma Devi, The Girlfriend MA Literature :).”

Directed and written by actor and director Rahul Ravindran, ‘The Girlfriend’ tells the story of Bhooma, played by Rashmika Madanna, as a postgraduate college student. She is shown to have been tricked into falling for Vikram, played by Dheekshith Shetty. Vikram is seen as a charming guy, but little did she know that he entraps her in an emotionally manipulative and toxic relationship.The film is getting huge praise for Rashmika Mandanna’s portrayal and performance.
