‘Ocean’s Eleven’, ‘Commando’ actor Michael DeLano passes away at 84

Veteran actor Michael DeLano, celebrated for his roles in ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ and ‘Ocean’s Twelve’, has passed away at 84. The star, who began his career as a singer before transitioning to acting in the 1970s, died of a heart attack in Las Vegas. DeLano leaves behind a notable filmography and is survived by his wife, daughter, and grandchildren.

Actor Michael DeLano, who was best known for his roles on ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, ‘Deadly Bet’, ‘Out For Blood’, and ‘Ring of Fire 2: Blood and Steel’, has passed away. The star was 84 at the time of his demise, and has left behind a wide array of films and shows to remember him and his essence by. As per reports shared by The Hollywood Reporter, the cause of death has been cited as a heart attack. The news was confirmed by his wife, Jean DeLano. She shared that the actor passed away at the Las Vegas hospital on October 20.

The famed actor was born on November 26, 1940, after which he slowly embarked on his career in the entertainment industry. He signed with a popular management agency under the stage name Key Larson and started as a singer. Some of his hits include ‘A Web of Lies’ and ‘A Little Lovin’ Goes a Long, Long Way’.His acting career began around the 1970s when he started appearing as a side character in shows like ‘Adam-12’, ‘Banyon’, and ‘Barnaby Jones.’ Other than this, he appeared in a lot of other hit TV shows in the 70s. This list also included ‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘The Jeffersons’, ‘Wonder Woman’, and ‘Magnum, P.I.’ His film career took off after he starred in minor roles, including ‘Commando’ with Arnold Schwarzenegger, ‘Another Stakeout’, as well as Patrick Swayze’s ‘Father Hood’. His best and most popular recent roles came from the films ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ and ‘Ocean’s Twelve.’ The actor played the recurring role of the casino manager Frank Walsh. Not only this, but in 2007, the actor made an appearance on famed director and filmmaker Wong Kar Wai’s only English-language film titled ‘My Blueberry Nights.’ His last project as an actor was in 2012, when he appeared on two episodes of the drama series ‘Royal Pains’ as a casino host. The actor is survived by his wife, Jean DeLano, daughter, Bree and three grandchildren, grandsons Michael and Lincoln, and granddaughter Jaxon.
