TikToker Girlalala, whose real name is Maurice Jaden Harrison, was shot and killed inside her apartment. Police claims her boyfriend, Shanoyd Whyte, was taken into custody soon after the shooting. This news shocked her fans as she was only 21 years old and had a big social media following. She had more than 263,300 TikTok followers, and her Instagram pages, @_girlalalala and @therealgirlalala, had 37.8K and 41.8K followers. Her YouTube channel, @LifeWgirlalala, had about 4,000 subscribers.After her death, her boyfriend Shanoyd Whyte, age 25, was booked in Florida. Reports say he has been charged with premeditated first-degree murder with a firearm. Many fans already knew the couple had a tough and hurtful past because they saw many clips about the problems in their relationship online.

Shanoyd Whyte and Girlalala’s past: Abuse clips, old arrests, and what led to the shooting

Before her death, Girlalala had spoken online several times about domestic abuse. Many viewers saw her videos and worried for her, but some people did not take her pain seriously. She also had past troubles with the law. A Broward County inmate record showed she had been arrested on July 26, 2025, for petty theft and driving with a suspended license. She also had other capias warrants for grand theft and another for driving with a suspended license.Reports shared by The Neighborhood Talk say the shooting happened after a fight inside her apartment. Police say Shanoyd Whyte fatally shot her and was arrested on November 14, 2025. After that, online pages shared a clip where Whyte talked about growing up being bullied and said he learned to fight back. In the clip shared by @opamusicofficial, he said his mother told him to fight anyone who hurt him. He said he would hit “boy, girl, dog, cat, wolf, mouse” if they touched him.Singer JT, from the group City Girls, reacted to the news on Instagram. She said people must stop laughing at videos about domestic violence. She said folks joke about real pain and forget that someone’s life is in danger. JT wrote that this happens to LGBT people too, and many people still ignore it.
