In a recent interview, legendary actor Ajinkya Deo, known for his role as Guru Vishwamitra in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated ‘Ramayana’, expressed deep admiration for Ranbir Kapoor’s embodiment of Lord Ram. Deo described Kapoor as embodying a ‘pure heart’, emphasizing how his authentic spirit resonates profoundly with viewers.

Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s magnum opus, ‘Ramayana’. And amidst all the buzz around the film, his co-star, veteran actor Ajinkya Deo, was all praise for the leading man in a recent interview.

Ajinkya Deo praises Ranbir Kapoor for being ‘pure at heart’

In a conversation with Varinder Chawla, Ajinkya said, “RK made me feel so comfortable.” The renowned Marathi actor who will be seen essaying the role of Guru Vishwamitra in the Nitesh Tiwari epic, showered praises on his co-star, saying, “He used to be… You know what, about him also, he used to say, ‘Sir, beautiful shot, yaar. I mean, I loved it, yaar.’ When somebody gives you that, like, he’s like, ‘Sir, aap lagte nahi ho yaar (you don’t look like your age), where do you work out and all?’”In the same conversation, Ajinkya added that he thanked Kapoor for the compliment. Deo told RK that his own physique is not much compared to him. Recalling the interaction, the ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ actor added, “He said, ‘No sir, aapki age tak pata nahi mera kya hone waala hai (No sir. I don’t know what will happen to me when I become your age).'”He further shared that Ranbir was “very, very, very pure at heart.” The actor went on to say that Kapoor has “no 3, 4, 5 filters in between.”The actor expressed that Ranbir is “what he is.” He added that because of this nature of Kapoor, he is good on screen as well. He said, “There is an immediate direct connect with the audiences. The moment you have these screens in between, which earlier stars had. But then that was the way it was then. But today, it’s no filter, yaar.”

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by Namit Malhotra, the film stars Ranbir as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravan, Ravi Dubey as Lakshaman, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, and Sheeba Chadha.
