Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Sunday countered Rahul Gandhi’s “Constitution oath” argument over his allegations of vote theft on the poll body, and said that it is mandatory for the individual to take oath “as a witness” if he is not a voter of the constituency the complaint is being made for.

“If you are not a voter of a constituency, then you have to give it on oath, as per the RP Act as a witness,” CEC said while answering a question by News18 India at a press conference in the national capital.
