About ‘Jatadhara’

The movie is set in a world where ancient rituals collide with rationality. Jatadhara explores the resurrection of an age-old curse known as the Pisachi bandana which is a sacred seal meant to contain a guardian spirit called Dhanapisachi. Centuries later, the seal’s breaking triggers chaos. This draws in Shiva (Sudheer Babu) who is a ghost hunter who prides himself on reason and evidence. His confrontation with forces that defy logic becomes the core of the narrative. This sets up a supernatural thriller layered with philosophy and fear. The film stars Sudheer Babu, Sonakshi Sinha, Shilpa Shirodkar, Indira Krishnan, Ravi Prakash, Rajeev Kanakala, and Subhalekha Sudhakar in pivotal roles. An excerpt from ETimes review for the film reads, “Sudheer Babu delivers a stunning performance. He anchors the film as a rational ghost hunter caught in an extraordinary situation. Sonakshi Sinha makes a powerful Telugu debut as Dhanapisachi, commanding attention despite having few lines. .”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
